I’m an Instructional Designer based in Phoenix, AZ, originally from Birmingham, AL, with a passion for creating learning experiences that are clear, engaging, and genuinely useful. My journey began in education and grew into a deep interest in how people learn best and how to make information not only understandable, but meaningful and memorable.
Earning my Doctorate in Applied Learning Sciences strengthened my foundation in learning theory, cognitive science, and evidence-based instructional strategies. I learned how to break down complex concepts, identify what truly supports learner success, and design solutions that make learning more intuitive and impactful.
That path led me to the Applied Instructional Design Academy, where I combined theory with hands-on practice, building interactive modules, structuring learner-centered content, and refining my skills in tools like Articulate Rise, Storyline, and modern LMS platforms. Today, I use that blend of academic grounding and practical design experience to create learning experiences that are thoughtful, accessible, and results-driven.
At the core, I design instruction that helps people grow professionally, personally, and confidently.
I design and develop learning experiences that combine strong instructional strategy with engaging, user-friendly design. Here’s how I can help:

The Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA) is a rigorous, project-based program that develops practical instructional design expertise through hands-on learning, coaching, and real-world simulations. Completing the program allowed me to strengthen my design process and refine technical skills with industry-standard tools, while applying best practices to create effective learning solutions.
